My short piece over at Technorati's Tech Channel is up. Quick and easy ask since they requested short posts. 20 minutes to spare after our girls go down :)

Sung-Bong Choi on Korea's Got Talent

Old clip that made the rounds on Facebook a couple weeks ago. Then emails from people like my parents. Then I got emails from non-Koreans, so this deserved a repost. Great story about Sung-Bong Choi, who grew up as a homeless orphan.

Samuel L. Jackson narrates "Go the Fuck to Sleep"

Hilarious. A "children's" book for adults. Video embedded if you want to hear Samuel Jackson narrate. I'm RIGHT HERE. Our girls take at least an hour to go to sleep every night over the past several months. First, they were kicking and screaming, "Ouuutt!! 10 mo minutes!" Now they make me sing Old MacDonald at least 15 times each night with requests, rejections and repeats... "NO! Pig is out! Daddy, sing 'blue penguin'... Now, sing 'scary dinosaur'. No, two 'scary dinosaur'..."

ESPN: "Failing to Measure Up to MJ"

48% shooting percentage in the NBA Finals? Are you kidding me, Scottie? LeBron has to shoot like 70% to catch up to his Airness.

Best LeBron Joke of the Week

This one has been going around a lot about LeBrick... love it:

I asked LeBron if I could borrow a dollar and he gave me 75 cents.

"Hey, where's the other twenty-five, King?"

He said, "Sorry, I dont have a 4th quarter..."

When Is Linkedin Integrating with Foursquare?

I was traveling to NYC and CT this past weekend and using Foursquare, Facebook, and Yelp to check-in at various locations. I know I am a bit of an outlier when it comes to location-based apps, but I was wishing that Linkedin was integrated with Foursquare.

I assume there are a fair amount of users like me who separate their professional and personal world between Linkedin and Facebook instead of having all your online connections on Facebook. Currently, when I check in on Foursquare I usually turn-on the Twitter notification and selectively turn-on the Facebook notification. Then I thought it would be nice to not only selectively inform my Facebook friends about my Foursquare check-ins, but also to do the same with my professional contacts on Linkedin.

If Linkedin wants to be the professional alternative to Facebook, I believe they should start providing such alternatives.

Pippen is a Fool. Video: "Michael Jordan - How Quickly They Forget (MJ vs Lebron)"

I don't know what Pippen and the minority meatheads are talking about. LeBron is still LeBrick to me with under 2 minutes to go. Kobe is a crunchtime player. Wade is. MJ was the greatest crunchtime player. MJ was a worse passer? He averaged a triple double when he wanted to. Please.

UPDATE: Mavs win game two and Magic summed it up best: "The difference between game one and game two tonight was that Wade closed out game one and LeBron closed out game two... Wade should have taken the ball from LeBron..."

Ark, Internet for Good

Just came across this new service, Ark. I don't know anyone there or have any affiliation. I like their concept and promotional video. Hope they kickass. Info from their site:

Ark is the online personal fundraising solution for everyone! We at Ark understand that many of us do not have enough time or money to support the causes we care deeply about. That is why we created Ark, to give everyone a chance to donate with no investment of extra time or money required.

Whether you know it or not many of the activities you perform on the Internet every day generate a great deal of money for the websites you are using. Ark's technology and partnerships allow you to continue using these same websites in exactly the same ways, but give you the power to direct a substantial portion of the revenue that you generate to whatever cause, charity, or school that you want to support. This is Ark, your Internet for good™.
